What's the problem with other websites?
When you follow a recipe, you shouldn't be constantly losing your place, touching your device or making avoidable mistakes because you can't easily get the information you need when you need it. Recipes online should offer so much more than a recipe in a book.
The aim of sizzle is to provide an alternative to most recipe websites. With today's technology, websites have the ability to make following a recipe easy, no matter how seasoned (pun intended) a cook you are.
The frustrating things about recipe websites are easily solved. That's what sizzle does. Please try it out and we think you'll agree.
What we do
- Take recipes online and improve them.
- Strip out fluff.
- Make the steps more to the point.
- Estimate each step to produce a realistic time to make.
- Split ingredient preparation from the method so you can do this first.
What we don't do
- Write our own recipes (yet).
- Claim to be cooking experts.
- Advertise to the point you can't find or follow a recipe.
Our mission
We believe following a recipe should be effortless — no matter your kitchen setup or experience level. Every feature we build starts from one question: does this make cooking easier, or does it get in the way?
sizzle is built and refined continuously, with that question as the bar.
