Preheat the oven to 200°C before starting.

Mix together cherry tomatoes, shallot, garlic, and all but 1 tbsp of the oil in a large baking dish; season with salt and red pepper flakes and mix well.

Add feta to the middle of the tomato mixture and then pour the reserved 1 teaspoon of oil over it. Finally, top the tomatoes with thyme sprigs.

Cook until the tomatoes have popped and the feta is golden and bubbly.

Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water. Save half a cup of pasta water before draining.

Add the cooked pasta and reserved water to the baking dish and stir until mixed. Garnish with basil.
