Sizzle ("we," "our," or "us") is a recipe platform available at sizzle.recipes. If you have any privacy-related questions, you can contact us via the website.

2. What data we collect

Website

We do not ask you to create an account or submit any personal information to use the website. We collect anonymous usage data via third-party analytics tools (Mixpanel, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. This data is aggregated and not linked to any individual.

Recipe Enhancer extension

The extension does not collect any personal data. When you visit a supported recipe page, the extension checks whether that recipe exists in the Sizzle database by sending the page URL to our server — no account, name, or identifying information is included in this request.

If you choose to click "Request this recipe on Sizzle," the extension reads the recipe content from the page (title, description, ingredients, and steps) and sends it to our server so the recipe can be reviewed and added to Sizzle. This action is entirely optional and user-initiated. The recipe content itself — not your identity — is what is transmitted.

The extension does not track your browsing history, run on pages outside of supported recipe sites, or share any data with third parties.

The extension does not set any cookies or use local storage.

4. Third-party services

The website uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Recipe requests submitted via the extension are stored on our server so they can be reviewed and processed. We do not store any information that identifies the user who submitted the request.

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal profile for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have any concerns about data we may hold, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
